Generously offered by the Montreal Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre, this is a traditional Hatha yoga class - with emphasis on breathing, 12 basic postures and relaxation. Teachings have not changed since the organisation (International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centres) was establised in 1957 by Swami Vishnudevananda, in Montreal. So they have been around the Mile-End for almost 60 years now!
We hope to take the tools we have been taught through yoga and meditation practice to those that need it the most, especially those struggling with depression/anxiety/stress, any kind of mental illness and trauma.
Like all of our events at the Community Centre, admission is FREE.
