Older Dykes

Older lesbians are one of our community's strengths. They are the fighters of yesterday, today and tomorrow. We want to find ways to break isolation and facilitate intergenerational.

In order to investigate issue and produce documentation on the needs and concerns of older lesbians, the RLQ-QLN has begun conducting research in partnership with the Association de recherche IREF/UQÀM and Relais-Femmes (ARIR). These studies will be able to help us determine how to orient future action in order to improve lesbians' lives in a concrete way.

We are also launching an appeal to all lesbonautes. By uniting our efforts, we hope to be able to act more effectively to demystify the taboos around ageing, and confront ageist prejudice. We think that we all need to share our stories, and in so doing, increase the chances of finding solutions within our own community. At this point, we have more questions than answers. We are now asking lesbinas to share their own stories and perspectives on this issue.
